ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
To improve the skills of optometrists. To expose the Interns to wide range of eye patients, enhancing their clinical knowledge
- Understand the importance of private practice optometry
- Observe the role of optometrist as primary eye care physicians
- Provide lifelong mentorship to future doctors
- Improve communication skills with patients and team members
- Learn skills to jumpstart optometric learning
Training during the Internship would cover the following:
- Contact lenses
- Low vision aids
- Posterior segment investigations
- Anterior segment investigations
- Cataract investigations
- Outreach program
- A TO Z cinical Skills
- Eye Diagnostic
- Eye checkup
- Hand on auto lens edger and Glasses fitting
- Tele ophthalmology
- Exposure to Standard Operating Procedures .
